Ever since he was a child, popcorn was his only snack of choice – simple, comforting, yet full of potential. That obsession turned into a mission: to create the best possible popcorn, with no shortcuts and no compromises.
What followed was months of experimentation, late nights, and countless batches of trial-and-error. With nothing but a home kitchen and a big dream, Pokica was born – a brand that would reimagine what popcorn could be. From the start, we chose the highest-quality non-GMO “mushroom” corn, known for its ability to pop into large, round kernels. We opted for hot-air popping instead of oil, giving our popcorn a lighter crunch and a cleaner profile.
But what really sets Pokica apart is our dedication to flavour. Our toppings – both savoury and sweet – are handmade in small batches. Whether it's our signature white chocolate, zesty apple, or deep dark truffle, every flavour is crafted to surprise and delight. And because we believe good food should be accessible to all, all Pokica products are gluten-free and suitable for every generation.
Today, Pokica is made in a dedicated production facility in Maribor, Slovenia – a far cry from the garage where it all began. But our spirit remains the same. We're still a tight-knit, family-run business, powered by a young team of popcorn lovers who do everything from production and flavour development to packaging and marketing.
